Womb: unquantifiable motherhood.
A collection of 300 objects that make a place. My mother’s handbag is a reflection of our mother-daughter relationship and this data visualization compiles the objects found in my mother’s handbag are attached to memories: some of them were very crisp, others were fading away and some others were completely fake.
This exploration sheds a light on the seal of motherhood: carrying and nurturing another being beyond nine months of pregnancy. This is illustrated through the most absurd, fun and sad memories are attached to objects that she carried for me. Ultimately, there is no way to measure motherhood.
